The wines of Australia

From Australia we feature the range from De Bortoli and have sub~divided the rest of our Australian wine portfolio into specific districts reflecting the trend of the moment coming out of Australia wineries which is “regionality”

Wines of Southern Australia

There's wines from the Clair Valley and the Adelaide Hills along with another couple of small producers from Southern Australia.

Wines of the Barossa

Barossa has an ideal climate for full bodied red wines and generally robust white wines. There are two basic soil types: brown, loamy sand to clay loam, and more sandy light brownish grey to dark grey brown soils. Grape varieties include Semillion, Chardonnay and Riesling in the whites and Cabernet, Grenache, Mourvèdre and Merlot in the reds not forgetting the very old Shiraz vines which date back to the very first days of Barossa settlement in the 1840s.

Wines of New South Wales

The wines from New South Wales come from the famous Hunter Valley and the Murray River Valley.

Wines of Victoria

Victoria boasts has 100's of wineries in 22 distinct wine regions. We provide a selection from two of the best producers whom we feel make wine with a slightly "European" feel.

Wines of Western Australia

Western Australia is famous for the Margaret River region whose Cabernets and Cabernet blends with Merlot and Cabernet Franc are close to good Red Bordeaux. Western Australia also produce some great white wines, blends of Semillon with Sauvignon Blanc have the same weight as serious dry white Bordeaux. The new region of Pemberton is also represented here.

Wines of De Bortoli

De Bortoli Wines is one of Australia’s largest private wine companies and is owned by the De Bortoli family. The company makes a complete range of wines from dry to sweet, premium and ultra premium red and white table wines, sparkling wines, fortified wines as well as our flagship wine, the world acclaimed Noble One.
