The wines of New Zealand - South IslandTindall, MarlboroughTindall's Sauvignon is zesty and crisp with plenty of body and richness, ripe fruit and an ebullient character on the finish. The Pinot Noir is luscious and fruity with plummy aromas and a rich, velvety style.
Mud House, MarlboroughYet another new listing and although attracted primarily to the quite superb Sauvignon Blanc, the Chardonnay and Pinot were very impressive too. We just can’t say no! The development of the Mud House vineyards has lead them to source fruit from other regions thay feel are best suited to each grape variety. As the climate varies so the aptitude of the grapes to each area.
Mariner Vineyards, MarlboroughWe were quite taken by the typical fresh cut grass aroma and clean tangy style.
Wild Earth, Central OtagoQuentin Quider is an ex-pat Californian who has lived on South Island for many years. The wine is from low yielding vines and aged in French oak barriques. Careful fermentation and controlled maturation gives intensely fruity wine with a rich palate and lengthy finish.
Cloudy Bay Vineyards, MarlboroughThe famous Cloudy Bay winery, the Sauvignon just continues to sell out every year, but we can offer a little of the Chardonnay and the excellent Te Koko barrel fermented Sauvignon Blanc. These wines are strictly limited allocations so are not always available.
