Massaya, Bekaa Valley

Sami and Ramzi Ghosn, brothers from the Bekaa Valley have recently teamed up with Daniele and Frederic Brunier from Vieux Telegraphe in the Rhone and Dominique Hebrard of Chateau Trianon in Bordeaux to breath new life into their magnificent estate. The investment and French expertise have tranformed the wines in to World class contenders, production is restricted to about 25000 cases.

The powerful reserve red is opulent and distinctive with spice laced warmth and richness. The classic red is elegant and refined with complexity and depth. The fruity dry rosé has a charming freshness with a crisp character.

One of the Worlds great sweet wines, Tokay has a rich, oxidised character quite unlike any other wine. Deep golden colour with an intriguing bouquet the wine is truly unique.

Carr Taylor Wines, Hastings, East Sussex

Three whites and a sparkling wine all from the South coast of England. An excellent micro-climate is generated on the South-east facing vineyards enabling good ripeness and quality from the fruit. 1066 is a smooth, softlu dry white, the Alexis has a pale colour with a crisp nose and aromatic style, and Vessel is a fuller, more rounded dry white made from late harvested grapes. The sparkler has a ligh, gentle fizz with a supple finish. It is made in the traditional method with the second fermentation done in bottle.
