After buying this property in 1988, our friends at La Rioja Alta have released their first wine from this reinvigorated estate. The twelve year wait has been more than worthwhile with this robust, intense wine with coffee and spice hints, and oaky flavours from the year in cask.

Vega Sicilia

These are limited release and only offered for sale when ready to drink, they are also acknowledged as having the potential to mature in the cellar over very long periods.

Bodegas y Viñedos Alion

Alion is neighbouring estate to Vega Sicilia. It was bought in 1991 by the Alvarez family who own Vega Sicilia. 100% Tempranillo aged for up to eighteen months it shows what a more modern style of wine making can offer. The same team keep everything very traditional at Vega.
