Grauburgunder (a.k.a. Pinot Gris, a.k.a. Pinot Grigio) is rather misunderstood, mainly due to the huge quanties of pale, watery and insipid stuff churned out on an industrial scale in Italy!
As with most other grapes, if respected, nurtured and correctly treated, great wine can be procured. Herr Zeter is a master, and maverick, winemaker so we are in safe hands.
We cannot recommend all the wines we stock, that Oliver Zeter creates, highly enough. This rounded, intense and flavoursome wine is very impressive and a great way to start exploring the range we stock from him.
