Queen of the Hive

Australia

£17.50

Queen of the Hive is named in honour of the Queen Bee, the epicentre of bee society around which all the hives effort revolves.

There are bee hives a plenty on the Paxton Winery estate and the bees are kept busy pollinating the vines which, in turn, provides the top quality grapes in this delicious McLaren Vale blend of predominantly Shiraz and Grenache (the classic Aussie combination) but also a smattering of Cabernet Sauvignon and Mataro, aka Mourvedre, added to keep up the intrigue.

Bright and expressive with hints of fennel seed, this is the ultimate BBQ wine, a living breathing biodynamic stunner!

All of the Paxton family wines are farmed biodynamically, for more in depth information on this very natural and, in this authors opinion, the most committed and correct way of growing any fruits and vegetables. Please refer to our blog page and the piece on biodynamic farming.
