This full bodied Shiraz and Cabernet Sauvignon is un-filtered to help retain the depth and warming fullness of the spicy Shiraz and the firm finish of the Cabernet Sauvignon, making a robust and hearty red wine with great depth and complexity.
The Barton Winery, found in South Africa’s Western Cape, has been consistantly improving its wines over the last decade and recruiting a new winemaker, PJ Geyer, has brought in new ideas and taken the wines to another level.
The cool and frost free climate of the vineyards, and southerly aspect, allows a slow and extended grape ripening period which lends itself to the production of some quite exceptional wines.
