Gavi del Comune di Gavi, Bric Sassi

Italy

£15.50

This Gavi del Comune di Gavi DOCG Bric Sassi is made from 100% Cortese grape from 40 year old vines which grow on calcareous marlstone, part of a lovely 40-hectare estate run by Roberto Sarotto who, in our opinion and that of many others, makes quite brilliant wines.

The wine is aged in stainless steel tanks for two months and a further two months in bottle before release.

Full of character, with a very drinkable rich and satisfying style; a very good example indeed and a great alternative to something like Marlborough Sauvignon Blanc if you fancy being a little bit experimental.
